Turkey & Ham Pie with Watercress & Cheddar Mash Potato
A tasty pie to use up your leftover Christmas turkey & ham, topped with a luxurious watercress mash potato then baked
You can also use chicken instead of turkey
Cooking Method
- Pre heat oven to 200c/gas mark 7/180 fan oven
- In a large frying pan, heat up the oil then soften the diced white onion, carrot and thyme
- Add carrot and cook for a minute or two
- Add the double cream and white wine before bringing to the boil and adding the Puréety Chicken Casserole seasoning. Mix well
- Simmer for 10 minutes and add the cooked turkey. Bring back to the simmer and add the chopped chives
- Remove from the heat. Transfer to an ovenproof pie/casserole dish
- Bring a pan of salted water to the boil, submerge the watercress in the water for 30 seconds and then blend with the melted butter and a splash of olive oil until smooth
- Mix the watercress purée and cheddar cheese with the hot mash potato, then top the pie mixture with the mash
- Bake in the oven until the mash starts to turn crispy and brown - serve and enjoy!

- 300g Cooked Turkey
- 150g White Onion , Diced
- 150g Carrot , Diced
- 10g Chives , Chopped
- 1kg Mash Potato
- 150ml Double Cream
- 250ml White Wine
- 60g Cheddar Cheese , Grated
- 85g Watercress
- 40g Butter , Melted
- 3tbsp Olive Oil
- 200g Ham
- 10g Thyme
