Southern style tater tots
Crispy on the outside soft in the middle, easy & quick to make a moreish potato snack. Southern style flavours with melted parmesan cheese serve with your favourite choice of dip. the perfect side dish or snack.
To prevent the tater tots from sticking, use a light coating of oil or cooking spray. Tater tots go great with cheese. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the tater tots during the last few minutes of cooking to melt it. Tater tots are perfect for dipping. Try serving them with sour cream, ketchup, BBQ, sweet chilli or any other dipping sauce that you like.
Cooking Method
- Peel potatoes and add them to cold water and bring to a boil
- Boil for 5-10 minutes until soft and drain your potatoes
- Grate your parmesan cheese, potatoes & separate two egg yolks
- Combine your grated potatoes, parmesan and egg yolks and mix well
- Knead your mixture together until fully combined and roll your mixture into small tater tot shaped balls
- Place into air fryer, ensuring that there is room in between each one of them for the air to circulate. you may need to cook in batches. Cook them at 180°c for 15 minutes until crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.
- Serve with grated parmesan and a garnish & dip of your choice we choose chives and sour cream dip. Enjoy!
