Char Siu Chicken Tray Bake
An aromatic blend of Asian spices glazed perfectly on chicken thighs with pac choi, tenderstem broccoli, spring onions and sesame
You can replace the chicken thigh with chicken breast if preferred. Garnish with extra sesame seeds, coriander & lime if you like. This dish is costed at approx £1.71 per portion
Cooking Method
- Pre heat the oven to 200c gas mark 7 180c fan oven
- Coat the chicken thighs with the Puréety Char Siu glaze and leave the glaze to develop on a cooking tray for at least 20-30 minutes
- Bake the chicken on a large roasting tray for 10 minutes
- Meanwhile, prepare the Pac Choi and tender stem broccoli (halve the broccoli if the stem is thick). Then in separate bowls, drizzle with the sesame oil, and season with sea salt and toss to coat (add the sesame seeds to the Pac choi)
- After 10 minutes add the Broccoli to the oven with the chicken. Bake for a further 5 minutes then add the Pac Choi and cook for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and the veg is to your liking
- When the chicken is thoroughly cooked, take out the oven, sprinkle with spring onions and serve with cooked rice - enjoy!

- 500g Chicken Thighs boneless/skinless
- 1tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Spring Onions , Bunch
- 200g Pac Choi
- 200g Tender Stem Broccoli
- 2tspn Sesame Seeds
