Gluten Free Crispy BBQ Chicken Goujons
Crispy and healthy handmade chicken nuggets! Gluten free and low calorie, perfect for a healthy fakeaway or even a mid afternoon snack
You can use normal panko breadcrumbs or even make your own crumb by blending some bread in the food processor. For vegetarians use a meat free alternative. The apple cider vinegar is optional- it is used to help tenderise the chicken before baking
Cooking Method
- Pre heat the oven to 200c/gas mark 6/180c Fan oven
- Glaze the chicken fillets in the Puréety Sticky BBQ Glaze and leave to develop for at least 30 minutes or overnight
- Place the chicken in batches into the flour and toss until the chicken is coated evenly
- Mix the eggs and milk in a bowl
- Transfer the chicken pieces in batches into the egg mixture (draining any excess liquid) then into the flour and finally into the breadcrumbs/chives/sea salt. Toss the chicken pressing the breadcrumb onto the chicken to help them stick
- Lay the crumbed chicken onto the baking tray, spray with one calorie spray on both sides then bake for 10-15 mins or until cooked through... enjoy!

- 500g Chicken Inner Fillets
- 2 Eggs , whisked
- 120g Gluten Free Breadcrumbs
- 1 Calorie Cooking Spray
- 1tbsp Chives (Fresh or Dried)
- 100ml Milk
- 1tspn Sea Salt
- 100g Gluten Free Plain Flour
