Chilli Beef Macaroni with a Nacho Crumb
Tender chunks of Chilli Con Carne flavoured beef, with macaroni pasta and three cheeses, topped with a crispy, golden, cheesy nacho crumb. The ultimate comfort food
Serve with our Southern Style potato wedges. This recipe would also work with minced beef cooked on the stove for a quick cook method, follow the instructions on the Chilli Con Carne Packet
Cooking Method
- In a slow cooker or casserole dish, combine the diced onion, diced beef, Puréety Chilli Con Carne seasoning, water, chopped tomatoes, cherry tomatoes & chorizo
- Cook @180 for 2-2.5 hours in the oven or 4-8 hours in the slow cooker or until beef is falling apart
- Once the beef is cooked, shred any big pieces of beef with two forks and mix in all of the diced peppers, half of the grated Red Leicester cheese and coriander (save some for the topping)
- Cook the pasta to packet instructions
- Combine the pasta with the chilli beef
- Crush the doritos and mix with the remaining coriander, grated Red Leicester and parmesan cheese
- Sprinkle the nacho crumb over the top of the pasta evenly and then scatter the mozzarella on top
- Drizzle with olive oil and cook under a hot grill for 5-10 minutes, or until golden brown
- Serve and enjoy!

- 200g Chorizo Sausage , Diced
- 400g Chopped Tomatoes
- 200g Cherry Tomatoes , Quartered
- 280g Macaroni Pasta
- 200g Red Leicester , Grated
- 150g Mini Mozzarella
- 50g Parmesan
- 100g Cheesy Doritos
- 100ml Water
- 10g Coriander
