Top tips for BBQ season
Fire up the BBQ, dust off the outdoor furniture and get the meat (or veggies) marinating because it’s BBQ season people!
As Brits, we’re well aware that the actual sunshine fuelled part of BBQing is somewhat short lived, however, we do have some handy tips and tricks for those who are braving the all-weather conditions to enjoy their BBQ fix this year.
So, what do you need to know?
- Prep up – Plan ahead, know your dishes and get everything set up and ready to go BEFORE you start BBQing, believe us when we say you’ll thank us later – it’ll ensure a streamlined cooking operation.
- Check your temps – Don’t get the BBQ too hot because you’ll end up with chargrilled on the outside and raw on the inside – no one wants a side of food poisoning with their food right?
- Hygiene – Speaking of point 2, get a bowl of water by the side of the BBQ ready – this will allow you to wash your tools and your hands as you go along without dashing to the kitchen every 5 mins.
- Get to know your BBQ – We’re aware that sounds slightly bizarre, but if you know where your hotspots and slightly cooler bits on the BBQ are, you’ll know where to place your food for the ultimate results.
- Give it time – Don’t be turning your meat constantly, let it rest and cook at it’s own pace, turning only occasionally – it’s a game changer we promise.
- Bonus tip: Use Pureety marinade glazes and seasonings for that extra WOW factor – be rude not to mention that bit right? You can shop them all and stock up the store cupboard right here
